Both venues, located in the Bank of the James, offer their own beautiful panoramic views of downtown Lynchburg, the James River, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Get married outside on a city rooftop, or overlook it all on our 20th floor. All of our weddings include tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and we even have our own in-house caterer and recommended coordinators.

What a day our daughter’s wedding was! Terrace View for the ceremony was perfect! It fit our 200 guests leaving a long aisle to admire the wedding party and the bride and her daddy as they made it to the “alter.” Great pictures were taken on the terrace which gave a European feel in downtown Lynchburg. The views from City View and the space for the reception fit our needs to a “T.”

How many hours do I get the venue?

How many hours do I get the venue?

For weddings, you have access to the venue for 2 hours on the day before (or two days before) your wedding date depending on venue availability and other events. On the day of your wedding, you may arrive 4 hours before your ceremony and stay up to 5 hours after your ceremony or 11PM. For events, you have access to the venue for 6 consecutive hours. For both weddings and events, you may add on additional hours for a fee subject to availability.

Can I have a rehearsal/rehearsal dinner the day before?

CAN I HAVE A REHEARSAL/REHEARSAL DINNER THE DAY BEFORE?

Do I have to use the in-house caterer?

Do I have to use the in-house caterer?

No! You do not have to use our caterer but if you do not use our caterer, there will be an extra fee to have access to the kitchen, place settings, glasses, linens, etc… 

Do I have to use the provided wedding coordinator?

Do I have to use the provided wedding coordinator?

No! You are more than welcome to provide your own coordinator or planner but they must be on our approved vendor list or approved in writing more than 30 days before your wedding. 


Is there smoking allowed on the Terrace?

No. Smoking is not allowed on the terrace. Smoking is only permitted on the sidewalk in front of the building, not in the parking garage or anywhere indoors.

Yes, absolutely. 


Where can my guests park?

Where can my guests park?

After 5pm and on the weekends, our parking garage below the building is available. We also have parking areas behind and across the street from the venues. 


Is the terrace open for the entire duration of my rental?

Is the terrace open for the entire duration of my rental?

For weddings and events, the terrace must be supervised by a staff member and all children must be accompanied by an adult. During weddings, the Terrace will open one hour before the ceremony and will close 2 hours after the ceremony. 



Do you allow dancing and DJ’s?

Do you allow dancing and DJ’s?

Yes! There is plenty of room for a dance floor and we welcome DJ’s and music!
